Technical cleanliness

Specific requirements for performing analyses according to the NEW VDA 19.1 STANDARD

CLEANLINESS TESTING

We perform a wide range of cleanliness inspections and analytical evaluations that ensure compliance with industrial standards and specific customer requirements.

  • Standard extraction and analytical methods according to VDA 19.1 and ISO 16232.

  • AIR EXTRACTION ACCORDING TO VDA 19.1, CHAPTER 6.5. WITH THE CLEANLINESS OF THE AIR MEDIUM AT ISO CLASS 1 LEVEL.

  • Rapid Cleanliness Tests: Contamination assessment using stamps.

  • Microscopic assessment of particles: Analysis of particle traps, stamp tests and analytical filters.

  • SEQUENTIAL ANALYZES OF TECHNICAL CLEANLINESS IN PROCESSES.

EXTRACTION AND ANALYSIS METHODS

We offer various extraction techniques suitable for a wide range of components and cleanliness control needs.

LIQUID EXTRACTION

  • Standard solvent extraction.
  • Fully compliant with international norms and standards VDA 19.1 and ISO 16232.

DRY EXTRACTION BY AIR MEDIUM – BLOW-OFF

  • Non-destructive extraction of contamination from components using ionized air of ISO CLASS 1, with the possibility of returning the components to the production process.
  • Ideal solution for identifying sources of contamination during production processes.

DRY EXTRACTION – BY SUCTION

  • Non-destructive extraction of contamination from components by brush vacuuming, with the possibility of returning the components to the production process.
  • Ideal solution for identifying sources of contamination during production processes.

STANDARD ANALYSES

  • Gravimetry – quantitative method for measuring the mass of contamination after extraction.
  • Optical light microscopy – detailed visual evaluation of particles using an industrial polarized microscope.
  • RFU – spectrophotometry.

ADDITIONAL ANALYSES

  • In cooperation with leading laboratories in the EU, we provide SEM/EDX and LIBS analyses – spectral analysis of the material composition of particles = precise identification of contamination sources.
  • Optical photometry in cooperation with our partner ZEISS.

SEDIMENTATION ANALYSES

  • Instant sedimentation analysis using stamp tests in accordance with ISO 19.2.
  • Time-lapse sedimentation analysis using traps in accordance with ISO 19.2.
